Beneficiaries

Each year, DFRC distributes proceeds from their fundraising events to programs that enrich the lives of Delawareans with intelllectual disabilities. The funds are allocated by a committee of community volunteers and are used as grants and seed money to support programs throughout Delaware.

Total grants monies awarded by DFRC in 2011 were more than $125,000.00. Over the past 10 years, DFRC has provided more than $2 million to Delaware agencies and organizations serving persons with intellectual disabilities. Since 1956, DFRC has awarded over $5.6 million in grants to program ranging from educational and recreational to residential and support for vocational rehabilitation.

DFRC provides grant funding to non-profit organizations and agencies that serve Delawareans with intellectual disabilities. Grants are awarded twice each year, with the deadlines for applications being April 1st and October 1st.
